On today’s show, we hear local reaction from military towns to President Obama’s announced military plan for Afghanistan. The first thousand servicemen and women involved in the newly reconfigured Afghanistan strategy will come from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. For insight, Tony Cox speaks with Hope Hodge — who covers the military presence in Jacksonville, North Carolina, for the Jacksonville Daily News — and Kate Wiltrout, who reports on military affairs for The Virginian Pilot.
